The customers of the Office of Public Health Nursing and Professional Development are the staff in local health departments across the state. The office coordinates continuing education and training for the public health workforce via the Public Health Training and Information Network (PHTIN.) Nursing staff in the office provide consultation and technical assistance on nursing practice and standards, policies and procedures which cross programmatic boundaries and coordinate courses required by Administrative Rule, contract addenda and reimbursement guidelines.
