The health education program provides support and consultation to health
educators and health directors in local health departments. Five regional health education
consultants offer technical assistance and training on professional development; program
planning, evaluation and quality assurance; data collection; and community assessment to
local health educators for all public health programs. Additionally, the health education
program supports the efforts of Healthy Carolinians. The regional health education
consultants provide critical linkages across all the programs in public health.
