Safe Communities

Injury and Violence Prevention collaborates with the NC Governor's Highway Safety Program and others to reduce motor vehicle related injury by establishing community based initiatives ("Safe Communities") throughout the state. These coalition-based community organizations study and assess the injury problems in their communities and implement interventions to address those problems.
